Best activities for kids from 2012

make an oil rig

I spent some time looking over my posts from 2012 to choose my favourite activity... and I decided on our oil rig because it makes me laugh. I still can't believe we made an oil rig!!! This was a wonderful project because I was able to take Cakey's curiosity and help her turn it into something. This was my second post of 2012 – it has been buried deep in the archives so it is nice to give it a little airing. I do hope you enjoy our oil rig, it wasn't my most popular post (which was 10 things to do with a 2 year old) but it is a personal favourite.

And to get the creative juices flowing for 2013 many wonderful bloggers have also chosen their favorite posts for 2013 – they are all linked up below. If you are a blogger you are welcome to link your most popular or favourite post for 2012.

  1. I love all the details on the oil rig!

  2. I love the pink cottage! My son loves the helipad. What a great activity :)

  3. Your oil rig was AWESOME! It's still one of my favourites. Such detail, vibrant colour and...who else makes an oil rig but YOU guys. Bec x
