My 1st blogiversary

I can't believe I have been blogging for a year... time has gone so fast. When I started this blog I had no idea of the existence of all the wonderful activity blogs for kids. It wasn't until I was invited to participate in my first linky that I discovered this amazing world. If I had known, I seriously doubt I would have ever started blogging.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all those who have read and supported my blog. In this time poor world I really appreciate you making the time to visit... whether it is regularly or occasionally.

I thought it would be fun to look back over the past year and reflect on five posts. Here they are:

My first post
Painting without influence was my first ever post. When I wrote it I had no idea how addictive, blogging would turn out to be.

My most popular post
Small Garden Spaces for Kids has been my most popular post. The whole small garden spaces series was a labour of love and I was absolutely delighted by the positive response.

My favourite post
Summer fun = Messy play is my favourite post. As I chose the photos for this post, I realised that my youngest, Boo, had become an integral and involved participant in our art, craft and messy play activities.

My most surprising post
A miniature campsite surprised me with it's continuing popularity. Our whole family loved making this campsite and it must show because it seems to be my most well known post.

My most challenging post
Learning to Let Go was my first ever guest post. Re-reading this post reminds me of how far I have come in embracing process over product and explorative art.

I have learned so much over the past year and have meet some amazing people online. Although this blog focuses on my kids, it has also been a wonderful creative outlet for me. It takes up all of my limited spare time (and the housework has been and will continue to be neglected) but it has been all worth it. I would urge anyone who is thinking of starting a blog to do it..... and let me know so that I can follow along. Thanks again.

If this is your first visit to at home with Ali – welcome. If you like it, you can follow along through our facebook page or subscribe via email or RSS. Cheers Ali
